За месяц до появления альбома, Эминем и Бийонсе замутили трек под названием “Walk on Water”, после появления этого трека в хип-хоп индустрии шли слухи о новом альбоме Эма. Через день после публикации новости HDD, 10 октября 2017 года состоялся фристайл «The Storm», а также был зарегистрирован новый сайт AskAboutRevival.com где можно было узнать информацию о препарате. На следующий день Пол Розенберг, менеджер Эма опубликовал новую фотографию из офиса Shady Records, где из окна был виден баннер с рекламой препарата под названием «RЭVIVAL» (буква E в названии перевернутая, как в логотипе рэпера). Предсказать дату выхода было невозможным пока Dr.Dre не назвал дату выхода Возрождения точнее «Revival» которая была намечена на 17 ноября 2017 года, но по факту он вышел 15 ноября 2017 года. В этот же день вышел новый сингл с Эдом Ширином под названием «River». В альбоме также будут фигурировать такие звезды как Алиша Кейс, Фрешер, Х Амбасадор, Кейлани, Скайлар Грей и Пинк. Кроме этого, в записи принимали участие: Долорес О’Риордан, Регина Спектор, Мистер Портер и другие знаменитости из разных жанров, именно поэтому альбом можно назвать звёздным.
Новый альбом Эма войдет в историю ещё как полосатый т.к. на обложке изображен американский флаг, за флагом стоит музыкант прикрытый лицо ладонью, что ассоциируется с сокрушенным состоянием. А название revival берет начало в восстановлении или возобновлении.
Трек «Walk on Water» был отмечен в главном американском чарте, Billboard Hot 100, треки отличаются Old school звучанием «Revival»: «Название предполагают ностальгическое возвращение, и самые напряженные моменты действительно смотрят в прошлое, как запутавшийся и примиряющийся человек подводит итоги своему наследию. Это своего рода честность, которая всегда делала Эма одним из самых убедительных мемуаристов хип-хопа».
По моему личному мнению, это один из лучших изданных альбомов, которые вышли на свет. Т.к. в ходе последних событий, он пережил очень многое и жизнь помотала не мало. Альбом действительно имеет очень сильную эмоцию, которую Эм хотел нам передать. Надеемся, что альбом не последний.
